In August of 2017, NFFE Local 2096, representing employees of the Department of the Navy employed at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest, and Engineering Field Activity, Southwest and Central West Regions, filed a grievance against the Navy on behalf of all bargaining unit employees. The Grievance alleged violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Title V (FEPA), among other violations.
The Union has retained Snider and Associates, LLC, as the Union’s counsel for this matter. The firm is working hard for the bargaining unit employees to ensure that their rights under federal law are upheld.
The Union and Agency have agreed to stay processing the grievances while an attempt is made to resolve portions of the matter.
