CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Testimonial from the DC Metro Region of Federally Employed Women (FEW)

I serve as the President of IAMAW FD1 NFFE Local 1998 ( http://nffe1998.org/ ), which represents the more than six hundred bargaining unit employees of the Department of State's Passport Services. Attorney Michael Snider served as our representative in a grievance that he filed on our behalf challenging the FLSA status of bargaining unit employees. Mr. Snider's efforts paid off - we settled the grievance with Passport Services, and our employees have received well over $300,000 in back pay plus liquidated damages. Even more significant than that, Mr. Snider righted this wrong classification, and our employees will now be properly and fully compensated for their overtime work in the years and decades to follow. This is by far the single largest financial benefit we've ever achieved on behalf of our employees, and we could not have done it without Mr. Snider. His knowledge and expertise is extensive and impressive, and his diligence and hard work on our behalf saw this dispute through to a successful conclusion. We could not be any happier with this outcome. I highly recommend Mr. Snider to any other labor union or federal employee who seeks justice in the workplace. You can see us together at http://nffe1998.org/news_flsa.htm.

In solidarity,
Colin Patrick Walle, Union President, IAMAW FD1 NFFE FL1998

"My Partner and I do local administrative hearings under a fee-shifting statute. We submit our bills directly to the government and do lump settlements with them about every six months. We had been using DOJ’s Laffey rates, but after we saw your web site, we decided to give yours a try and see what happened. They didn’t blink. In our next settlement with them, they paid the Adjusted Laffey rates, which were substantially higher than the DOJ rates (50% more for one of us) without any comment on the increase. I can’t vouch for how your adjusted rates would stand up in court, but it looks like I may never need to know."

(Testimonial is from an Attorney who has successfully used the Adjusted Laffey Matrix in their practice. Due to their success using it in settlements, the Attorney prefers to not have their name mentioned.)

Mike Snider, and the firm of Snider & Fischer, LLC, were instrumental in resolving my employment dispute with the IRS. Despite the highly charged emotional issues that came up, Mr. Snider was a calm and professional advisor and advocate. We got our money's worth, and I would definitely recommend to others that they use Snider & Fischer for any employment related matter.

B. F., Florida.

I was referred to my attorney, Michael Snider, by an EEO Judge - one who said that Mr. Snider would be able to handle my case competently. That was an understatement. I am very, very happy with the expert representation that Mr. Snider has provided. From handling complicated discovery to drawn out settlement negotiations to a hotly contested hearing, Mike Snider was there every step of the way, a rock in an ocean of uncertainty. Not only that, but he won my case too - we proved a hostile work environment case and received a favorable decision from an EEOC Administrative Judge. Mr. Snider questioned my witnesses (and me) in a way that brought out the most important points, and his cross examination of the Agency managers was something that I would never want to be on the receiving end of - ever. Although I cannot disclose the terms of my settlement agreement with the Agency, let's just say that I feel that I have been made whole. I guess the best sign that I like Snider & Fischer, LLC as my law firm is that I have referred other people to them as clients. I highly recommend their services.

E. L., Maryland

Snider & Fischer, LLC effectively represented me and prosecuted my case professionally. In a few short months they obtained a settlement for me on my wage dispute claim. I would recommend this office for a quick, just and fair result.

Scott Meek, Annapolis, MD

Snider & Fischer, LLC, took my case seriously and handled it professionally. They researched every angle of the case law to make certain that none of my claims would be overlooked and it certainly paid off. In just four short months, I had more than tripled my financial investment. I also learned that there's no substitute for having lawyers who know what they're talking about.

Christopher M. Savell, Baltimore, MD

"Mike Snider came highly recommended, as an experienced attorney in employment discrimination cases. He lived up to that billing and more. After years of tough litigation and difficult settlement negotiations, Mr. Snider finalized my case in a professional and caring manner. He took numerous depositions in my case and challenged the Defendant's stance successfully, leading to a successful settlement. I would recommend Mr. Snider to anyone in need of high-quality personal services."

James Cypress, Department of Veterans Affairs, Salt Lake City, Utah
